Revelation Chapter 6:5,6
5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
The rider brings famine…Jesus reveals the meaning of the first four seals when we compare them with His words in the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24; Mark 13; Luke 21).
We notice the third horseman rides a black horse and his name is Famine. Hes also described as carrying a pair of balances or weighing scales which in (Greek ζυγὸν, zygon), indicates the way that bread would have been weighed during a famine. During the Tribulation there will be massive famine and worldwide starvation. brought on by wars and natural disasters. Today, we can see the foreshadows of worldwide famine brought on by wars and natural heat burst in America and around the world. God gives us a look into the future of what’s to come.
In 2021, most of the 140 million people suffering acute hunger lived in just 10 countries: Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Haiti, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. “When this Council debates conflict, you debate hunger,” he stressed. “And when you fail to reach consensus, hungry people pay a high price.”
He noted that, in April, the World Food Program (WFP) and its partners distributed food and cash to more than 3 million Ukrainians, also announcing that the Central Emergency Response Fund will release $30 million to meet urgent food security and nutrition needs in Niger, Mali, Chad and Burkina Faso — “a drop in the ocean”, he pointed out. Around the world, 44 million people in 38 countries are at emergency levels of hunger, he warned, noting the Russian Federation’s invasion of its neighbor has effectively ended Ukraine’s food exports, with price increases of up to 30 per cent for staple foods threatening people in countries across Africa and the Middle East.
David Beasley, Executive Director of the World Food Programme (WFP) said we are facing “the worst humanitarian crisis since World War Two”. He also pointed to deepening crises, more frequent natural disasters and changing weather patterns, saying “we’re already facing a perfect storm”. Now with all that said. I’m not a supporter of the United Nations. Matter of fact I believe the United Nations is bias against many nations. Including the United States of America and Israel most of all. However, of what I have researched their remarks about what is happening around the world is pretty much spot one.
We already see food shortages around the world. No one would have thought food shortages would have hit the shelves of the land of plenty. However, in the United States of America many large store chains had to shuffle products around to make it look like their shelves were not empty. Many other stores didnt have the product to shuffle around. The world will be facing a much larger perfect famine storm like no other throughout history during the Tribulation period. The Tribulation period is just around the corner and the Black horseman will soon begin his ride of starvation.
Are you ready for the Lords soon return? Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? If not, why not?
Learn how you can accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savor today….
Gods Simple Plan of Salvation
1. Realize God loves you. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” The Bible teaches that regardless of your background, age, race, or any other factor, God loves you and desires a genuine, personal relationship with you.
2. Realize everyone is a sinner. The Bible says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” No one is perfect. We have all broken God’s commandments. This is called sin, and it separates us from God.
3. Realize sin has a price that must be paid. Romans 6:23 tells us, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” The “wage” or payment for our sin is death, which according to the Bible is eternal separation from God in a place called Hell.
4. Realize Jesus Christ died to pay the price for your sin. Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” If we choose to accept Christ, we do not have to pay the price of death and Hell for our sins because Jesus paid for our sins when He died on the cross and rose again three days later!
5. Finally, pray and ask Jesus Christ to be your Savior, and claim His promise of eternal life. In Romans 10:13 the Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” That is a promise directly from God that if you will pray to Him, confess that you are a sinner, ask Him to forgive your sins, and accept Him a Lord and Savior…
Salvation doesn’t come from our good deeds or by doing anything special, it’s a free gift from God just because He loves us so much. We need to turn away from our sins, believe that Jesus is God’s Son and our Savior, and submit to Him as Lord of our lives. By doing so, we receive salvation and eternal life.
Sinners Prayer
Jesus, I believe that you are the Son of God and Savior of the world. I believe that you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I believe that through your sacrifice, I am a new person. Forgive me for my sin and fill me with your Spirit. Today, I choose to follow you for the rest of my life as Lord of my life. Amen.”
How awesome is that! Now what are the next steps?
First, tell another Christian that you accepted Jesus in your life. It’s something to celebrate!
Second, find a local church community to get plugged into. Doing life together is what will help you grow.
Third, try to read the Bible and spend time in prayer for at least 10-15 minutes every day. If you don’t have a Bible, you can buy one at the store or online or use the You Version Bible app. If you don’t know what translation to use, I suggest KJV. So, 10-15 minutes a day of prayer and reading.
And finally, get baptized. Check out the next time your church is offering baptisms. It’s a biblical thing to do. Basically,
It’s an outward expression of an inward decision.
Let me be the first to welcome you into Gods family.
